AMHERST, NY – WBFO reports that a crash involving three vehicles left one person dead and two others injured on Evans Street on Thursday morning.
Police say the crash took place mid-morning on Evans Street, near Sheridan Drive. A 65-year-old male driver travelling south on Evans Street drifted into the northbound lane and struck two vehicles head on: first a Ford Escape, driven by an 81-year-old man, and then a Chevy Silverado, driven by a 55-year-old man.
Two of the three drivers involved sustained injuries in the collisions and were transported to Erie County Medical Center for treatment. The 65-year-old man died in the hospital.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
