EVANS, NY- According to WIVB News10, a wrong-way collision with a tractor-trailer left one man dead in Evans on Saturday.
Authorities say the crash took place on Interstate 90 when police officers noticed 44-year-old Benjamin Wence driving his vehicle the wrong way down the westbound lanes of the interstate. Troopers attempted to follow Wence and stop his vehicle for several miles.
Wence’s vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer head-on in the town of Evans, killing Wence in the impact. The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained minor injuries.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
