Narrative
THE BRONX, NY – Three people were injured, including two officers, when an NYPD police cruiser going the wrong way in Mott Haven slammed into another vehicle.
Investigators say the officers were responding to a 911 call when they drove down East 149th Street in the wrong direction and T-boned a Jeep Cherokee as it crossed at the Brook Avenue intersection.
The Jeep’s driver was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition. The two officers in the cruiser were also hospitalized with minor injuries.
