Narrative
UTICA, NY – Two people died very early Friday after a collision involving two vehicles at an intersection on the west side of FT Proctor Park.
The incident happened around 12:05 a.m. at the intersection of Culver Avenue and Lansing Street, which is northeast of Mohawk Valley Community College.
Police aren’t sure what caused the accident. They say that two vehicles collided and that both drivers were found unresponsive.
Officials declared a 21-year-old woman deceased at the scene. They have not yet released her identity to the public.
Medics transported a 17-year-old male driver to the hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the accident.
The collision is under investigation, and authorities urge anyone with information or tips to contact the Utica Police Department.
