HILLSDALE, NY – A 17-year-old man died, and and another 17-year-old went to the hospital Tuesday after their vehicle crashed along a roadway in Hillsdale.
The incident occurred around 5:49 p.m. on Hunt Road, which runs north to south between NY-22 and Farm to Market 21 in southeast Columbia County.
The investigation indicates that a northbound driver lost control of his vehicle, travelled over the southbound side of the road, and collided with a tree. The impact of the crash threw both the driver and his passenger from the vehicle, and the driver died at the scene.
Medics transported the passenger to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
