Narrative
NEW YORK, NY – A teen boy died on Thursday afternoon in Manhattan when his moped collided with a Jeep at a busy intersection near Washington Heights.
The accident happened just before 1:30 p.m. in the area of West 185th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue, which is just northwest of Yeshiva University – Wilf Campus.
The investigation thus far indicates that a 15-year-old on a moped crashed into an eastbound Jeep along West 185th Street. The force of the collision threw the teen from his moped, and he died after transport to a local hospital.
The driver of the Jeep stayed at the scene of the accident to render aid and speak with authorities.
The investigation is ongoing.
