Narrative
NEW YORK, NY – The 20-year-old female passenger in a Hyundai Elantra died on Monday after colliding with another vehicle at a busy Inwood intersection.
The incident happened just after 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of West 213th Street and 10th Avenue, which is just southeast of Isham Park.
The investigation indicates that a northbound Lamborghini collided with the Hyundai as the latter vehicle turned left onto West 213th Street. The Lamborghini then struck a train pillar and caught fire.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
Police arrested the driver of the Lamborghini after he received treatment at the hospital.
The driver of the Hyundai sustained only minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
