Narrative
BROOKLYN, NY – A truck driver went to the hospital Wednesday after colliding with another vehicle and crashing into a Brooklyn Popeyes restaurant.
The incident happened around 7:15 p.m. at 259 Vandervoort Avenue in East Willamsburg.
Police say that the 18-wheeler collided with a white Subaru sedan before hitting the Brooklyn eatery.
While multiple people were inside the Popeyes at the time of the accident, none of the diners required medical attention.
The truck driver went to the hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the sedan was unhurt.
Officials say that the building’s structure remains stable.
