NEW YORK, NY – One person went to the hospital Wednesday morning after a collision at a busy Manhattan intersection.
The incident happened around 6:15 a.m. in the area of Third Avenue and East 59th Street, which is near Bloomingdale’s on the Upper East Side.
The cause of the accident is unknown. Police say a silver sedan crashed into a traffic post, causing extensive front-end damage to the vehicle.
Medics transported one person from that vehicle to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
It’s not yet clear if any other people or vehicles were involved in the crash.
