Narrative
PITTSFORD, NY – Five people went to the hospital Thursday after a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-crash along the interstate in Pittsford.
The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-90 over Mendon Center Road, which is just west of Royal Coach Park.
Police say that a tandem FedEx semi sideswiped another vehicle that was stopped alongside the roadway. The semi overturned and partly fell over the bridge.
The truck driver and four people from the second vehicle, including one child, sustained non-critical injuries.
Hazmat crews were dispatched to the scene to clean up a fuel spill caused by the truck accident.
A full investigation is underway.
