BROOKLYN, NY – A 60-year-old man was seriously hurt Thursday when a bus crashed into a fast food eatery near the Kensington area in Brooklyn.
The incident occurred just after midnight at the Burger King on Fort Hamilton Parkway, which is at the southeast edge of The Green-Wood Cemetery.
Police say the driver of an MTA bus may have suffered a medical episode when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed through the front of the restaurant.
Medics transported the bus driver to the hospital with serious injuries.
No other injuries have been mentioned in connection to the accident.
Officials closed the Burger King until the building can be assessed for safety.
