Narrative
BROOKLYN, NY – Two people went to the hospital Saturday after a crash involving a vehicle and a bicycle in the Bushwick area.
The accident happened around 2:45 a.m. at the intersection of Hart Street and Evergreen Avenue, which is just southwest of Maria Hernandez Park.
Police say that a westbound cyclist failed to heed a stop sign and collided with a northbound Toyota. The cyclist sustained critical injuries when he was thrown from his bicycle and into the roadway.
Medics transported both the cyclist and the driver of the Toyota to an area hospital. The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries.
