Narrative
BRENTWOOD, NY – One person died Wednesday when a vehicle struck them at an intersection on the west side of Brentwood.
The accident occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. in the area of Suffolk Avenue and Eisenhower Avenue, which is just east of Sagitkos Parkway and west of Brentwood High School.
Police say a pedestrian was walking for standing along Suffolk Avenue when a vehicle turned from Eisenhower and hit them.
Authorities declared the victim deceased at the scene. Their identity has not yet been disclosed.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash, identified as 24-year-old Emely Santos, did not sustain injuries.
