NEW YORK, NY – Two adults and one child were hurt last Wednesday when a taxi struck a group of pedestrians in Herald Square.
Emergency crews responded to the area of West 34th Street and Sixth Avenue around 4 p.m. on Christmas Day.
Police say that a taxi driver lost control of his vehicle after experiencing a medical episode and drove onto a sidewalk near the intersection. At least six pedestrians were struck by the taxi.
A 9-year-old boy, his mother, the taxi driver, and one other adult were taken to the hospital with injuries. The boy sustained burns and a broken femur in the crash.
The other three pedestrians did not require hospitalization.
