LATHAM, NY – Ambulances reported to the scene of a multi-vehicle accident near a popular ice cream shop on Route 7 in Latham Friday.
The accident occurred just before 7 p.m. near Control Tower Ice Cream, which is located at 1050 Route 7, or Troy-Schenectady Road. This is in northeast Albany County.
Police haven’t yet shared any specific details about injuries or the cause of the accident. Photos taken at the scene indicate that multiple vehicles sustained damage.
Officials closed Route 7 in the area of the collision for a couple of hours on Friday night while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene. Road re-opened by around 9:15 p.m
