The accident occurred just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of 16th Avenue and 62nd Street, which is just west of Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School.
The investigation indicates that the two kids were crossing the street when an eastbound Nissan minivan hit them in the intersection.
Both kids sustained non-critical injuries for which they were transported to Maimonides Medical Center.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene to render aid and speak to police. It is unclear if he will face charges in connection to the accident.
