Narrative
NORWICH, NY – An 82-year-old woman died on Tuesday after her vehicle collided with another vehicle at a busy intersection in Norwich.
The incident happened in the afternoon at the intersection of NY-12 and CR-32, which is just east of North Norwich Cemetery and southwest of The Crescent Moon.
The investigation indicates that the victim’s Buick Lucerne entered the path of a northbound Ford Explorer after pausing at a stop sign in the intersection. The two cars collided, and the driver of the Buick died after transport to a local hospital.
A passenger from the Buick went to the hospital with non-critical injuries. The male driver of the Ford and his female passenger were also hospitalized due to injuries sustained in the crash.
