NEW YORK, NY – A vehicle struck an 8-year-old boy Thursday morning at a busy intersection near Lincoln Square.
The incident happened around 8:40 a.m. at Broadway and West 70th Street, which is between Central Park and Riverside Park South.
The investigation thus far indicates that a vehicle made a left turn onto Broadway and struck the boy, who was crossing the road with his mom.
Medics transported the child to a local hospital with non-critical injuries.
The mom did not sustained injuries in the accident.
It is unclear at this time if the driver involved in the crash will face charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
