NEW YORK, NY – Two men died early Saturday in a wrong-way crash along highway in the Upper Manhattan area.
The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. near Exit 13 on the Henry Hudson Parkway. This is just east of the Hudson River and the state line with New Jersey.
Police say that a southbound pickup truck entered the northbound lanes of the highway and collided head-on with a northbound sedan.
The two male occupants of the sedan died in the crash. Authorities have not yet released their names to the public.
The two people in the pickup truck fled the scene on foot. Police apprehended the passenger but are still trying to find the driver of the pickup truck.
The investigation is ongoing.
