DEER PARK, NY – Four people died, and nine people were hurt when a vehicle crashed into a nail salon in Deep Park on Friday.

The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. at Hawaii Nail & Spa, which is located at 706 Grand Boulevard.

Police say that the driver of a minivan was speeding when they lost control of the vehicle while turning and drove through the front of the salon.

Authorities have not yet identified the people who died.

Medics worked to extricate several people who had become trapped in the wreckage. Of the nine people that sustained injuries, one went via air ambulance to the hospital.
